Each year Pack 30 plans a camp out in June to celebrate the end of the scouting year and welcome in Summer.
All family members are welcome to attend.
This is a great introduction to camping and there will be activities appropriate for all ages.
You will need to bring your own tent and sleeping bags, but if you don't have these items don't let that stop you from coming. You can show up for the day's activities and not camp, or let us know you need any of these items and many of the Pack 30 families can loan you the items for the weekend. Parking for Saturday only activities will still require a parking pass or state park sticker.
If you really don't want to camp, please join us on Saturday for a fun day at the park.
Fees vary by year, and the location of the site.
Each vehicle will need a state park sticker or you will need to purchase a parking pass upon arrival. https://yourpassnow.com/ParkPass/wi
Part of this event will be a group breakfast and group dinner on Saturday. We have created a Signup Genius (Pack 30 Camp Out Signup Genius) for everyone to sign up for what they would be able to bring to support these 2 meals. Pancakes for the breakfast and meat for the taco bar dinner will be provided but the rest of the meal is provided by all attending. Please sign up as soon as possible so that we know what is covered and what is not.
June 13th - 15th, 2025
3 Days, 2 Night
Richard Bong Recreation Area - 26313 Burlington Rd, Kansasville, WI. Campground amenities include a shower building, flush and vault toilets, a dump station and a playground area.
Typically, Friday night is pretty relaxed. Eat before you arrive, and set up camp sometime before dark (preferably). On Saturday, we eat breakfast, other campers may arrive to set up, and the activities begin. There is a break for lunch, then we do some sort of group game or activity. We are planning to build and launch rockets, we may have a craft, a hike and/or some other activity. Individual Den leaders are also planning den workshops to cover one or more advancement electives. The evening usually involves working together to cook dinner, followed by a campfire program put on by the boys.
Sunday morning involves a breakfast and then we break camp. We are typically out by 10:00am.
