This Saturday we will be having our Pack Hike and last chance for scouts to earn their Summertime Fun award. Our final Pack event of the summer will be a hike on Saturday August 2nd, from 9:30 - 11:30. We will meet at the Seven Bridges Trailhead parking lot. It is in Grant Park on Grant Park Dr. In South Milwaukee. The drive is 36 minutes from school, but is worth it for the great landscaping architecture, Lake Michigan bluffs micro-climate, and the opportunity to play in lake Michigan.
In addition to the six essentials, please have your scout wear appropriate clothing to get wet if you plan to let them wade or swim in the estuary and bring sandals and a towel. For those that have been to two summer activities already, this hike will earn them their Summertime Fun adventure. There is no good loop trail so we will do some there and back sections along the bluffs to try to get to around two miles of hiking. I hope to see a lot of you there.
We have set up a shared photo album for the pack. You should have received an email with the link to view, download and add photos to the group album. Please contact Crystal Parker if you have questions or need access.
August 9th the Tiger den will be going fishing at Ottawa State Park at 7pm (sunset). This will be a joint event with Troop 13G. If you are not in the Tiger den and are interested in going please contact Crystal Parker so she has an idea of how many kids are coming and there is enough bait.
Each age group has a Summertime Fun Adventure which is achieved by attending one scout event in each of the months of June, July and August. The pack has one event scheduled for each month but dens may have additional events planned so check the den pages. Attending area council events as a family will also meet this objective so if you attend a scout event on your own, let your den leader know.
Ensure scouts have their handbook and uniforms for their upcoming rank year.
Check the Calendar for upcoming events.
Please click the "Advancement (Scoutbook) link on the left and sign into Scoutbook to update your scout's advancement records.
