Voice of the Scout 2014

posted Oct 22, 2014, 11:04 AM by Webmaster Pack30
Starting October 7, thousands of Scouts, parents, volunteers, and chartered organizations will receive the fall edition of Scouting's twice-yearly Voice of the Scout survey. The Boy Scouts of America is committed to providing our volunteers a rewarding experience with Scouting. To do this, we need your feedback. IT’S CONFIDENTIAL: Results are averaged and comments are grouped so no identifying information will be linked to your answers.

To ensure your voice is included, please respond by Tuesday, October 21, 2014.

Launched in 2012, VOS is designed to measure the value of Scouting in the community. Each spring and fall, VOS tracks how well membership expectations are being met and how this is affecting long-term loyalty to Scouting.

Loyalty is measured using the Net Promoter Score approach, which is defined as the percentage of promoters Scouting has within its membership ranks after accounting for those who are not happy with their experience. With five survey cycles since 2012, VOS is yielding insight into trends that reflect Scouting’s strengths, opportunities, and challenges.

The Voice of the Scout process is most valuable when there is a high level of responses. If you receive the survey please take the time to share your insights into how Scouting's leadership can deliver more compelling and effective programs.

There is a $500 drawing for units who have 50% of parents/scouts responding to the survey. The odds
are good. It is a nice incentive for units!
