Aware & Care
Welcome back from a fun summer, and into the start of a new Scouting year!

I just wanted to let you know that our first Pack meeting is Wednesday, Sept. 14th at the Randall School Gym.

Our meetings start promptly at 6:15pm, so please try and arrive up to 15 minutes early and have your scout join our Webelos “Cosmic Gamers” Den for a gathering activity.

The Webelos I den will be performing the flag ceremony.

We will be playing a few “challenge games” outside, and have a taste of the popcorn we’ll be selling this year. Along with that, we’ll be handing out fundraising packets. There are also a few awards to hand out that some of our scouts earned over the summer.

If you are new to Pack 30, please come by and check out our first pack meeting. If you have a registration form filled out, you can turn that in to Jennifer Werner or myself at the meeting. If you haven’t filled one out, please come to the meeting anyway. If you can’t make Wednesday’s meeting, we’ll be holding a parent orientation on Monday, Sept. 19th at 6:30pm in the Randall Gym where new and existing scout parents are welcome to attend. There’s a short presentation about Scouting, and we can answer any questions you may have about the Pack. You can also turn in your registration form and fees at that time.

There are a couple of upcoming activities coming up.

1.       Webelos Scouts that have signed up for Webelos Jam-o-Ree, it is this weekend (Sept. 10-11) at Menomonee Park.

2.       Sept 19th – Parent Orientation: Randall Gym @ 6:30.

3.       Winter Blast is a great day for your scout to participate in and earn several adventure/elective requirements, tailored to their rank. It is held in the Dec. / Jan. timeframe. Sign-up begins on Oct. 11th, and each den will sign up as a group (based on interest). I’ve attached a form that describes what will be covered. Please check with your Den Leader over the coming weeks for more information on which location they will be attending, and to let them know you’re interested.

4.       Oct. 8th – New Scout Fun Day! New Cub Scouts and their Families are invited to a fun filled day at Indian Mound Scout Reservation in Oconomowoc for archery, fishing, BB guns and Water Rockets. This is free to new scouts, and runs from 9:00am to 12:00pm OR 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Register at http://www.threeharborsscouting.org/camping

As always, you can find the most up-to-date information on our Pack Website: http://www.pack30waukesha.org

If you have any questions, please send me an e-mail.

See you Wednesday!
