It's time to start thinking about Spring Camping!!! Thursday, Nov. 9th is the official sign-up night for the River Rats campout in April. You can find info for all of our camping opportunities in the "Council Family Camps" links in the lower-left of our Website, or by clicking here: Council Family Camps That page also links to the Council information page, here: River Rats We update information as it's released to us, so if you see date/times from last year, know that they will be updated soon. In 2018, Pack 30 will be participating in Session 1: May 4 - 6. This camp is at Camp Long Lake, the premier Boy Scout camp in Dundee, WI. It is a lot of fun! We arrive Friday night for registration and setup, then start early Saturday morning. All meals are provided at the dining hall on Saturday and Sunday (please eat before arriving Friday night). Saturday is a full day of archery, BB Guns, rockets, bouldering wall, group games, fire building, craft and more! It's run by the participating packs, so you may be asked to help run one of the events. Don't be surprised, we have a lot of fun doing it, and the activities are relatively easy to run. This is a family camp out, so siblings and spouses are welcome. Last year we had 70 participants. Eric Johnson is the activity coordinator for this, and will be signing everyone up on Thursday, Nov. 9th. There is a $15 deposit per person attending. Please make checks payable to Pack 30. There is a sign-up sheet at the Pack meetings. We need to know the names of all people attending in your family, as well as T-shirt sizes. Space is limited, so please sign up and join us for a fun weekend! |
