The air is getting cooler and the leaves are starting to change. This month we will be meeting at the Retzer Nature center to enjoy some of the outdoors.

We will be doing a quick hike following the Trail Trekker guide  - Outer Green Trail – (0.91miles) and/or the Fen Boardwalk trail (0.41 mi), depending on time. There is a trail map here if you are interested.

We will talk a little bit about the Retzer Nature center and the Leave No Trace Principles.

As a gathering activity we will be making attendance pins for our new attendance board, so please try to arrive as close to 6:15 as possible.

Since it’s getting dark earlier, please bring a flashlight. All scouts should be in uniform. Please dress appropriately for the weather, we will be outside the entire time.

The Webelos II and Wolf scouts have the opening ceremony. They will need to arrive 10 minutes early to prepare and set up.

After the hike, we will have a rank advancement ceremony for those scouts that received their awards after our last pack meeting in the spring. 

Any new Bobcats will also have a special ceremony this night, so if you are a new scout and have completed the Bobcat requirements, please make sure your Den Leader knows. We hope to see you there. As always, in case of heavy rain, we will meet at the Randall Gym instead.

! There is some road construction on Madison St. near the Retzer. If you’re coming in from the east, you may want to take Hwy 18 instead. There is a Map on the Retzer Facebook page.
