JTE 2015 Gold Patch
The Journey to Excellence
award is given to packs that have met the requirements outlined by the Boy Scouts of America.  Each year, there is a list of goals that a pack, district and council must meet in order to be considered for the award.  There are three levels as well: bronze, silver and gold.  The requirements range from increasing and maintaining membership in the pack, providing activities and having scouts participate in those activities, graduating Webelos to Boy Scout troops, training the pack leadership, and communicating the pack activities and yearly plan to the parents and scouts.

This year, Pack 30 achieved 1400 total points in 10 of the 11 categories and was awarded the Gold level once again thanks to the pack leadership and the involvement of our parents and youth.  So, thank you all for helping us achieve this goal!

We will be receiving a ribbon commemorating this achievement from the council.  This ribbon will be placed on our pack flag during one of our upcoming pack meetings.

In addition, scouts are able to purchase a patch from the Waukesha scout shop (or online at Scoutstuff.org) to wear on the right-sleeve of their uniform.

Attached to this announcement is the 2015 JTE checklist for Packs. When reading this, it's important to look at the categories we did not score gold in as it indicates areas of improvement for the Pack. Also, remember that these requirements change each year. The latest version of these scorecards can always be found at the BSA JTE Website
