Please join us on Wednesday, January 11th, 2017 at 6:15pm at the Randall School Gym for our evening of STEM.

At least once a year we hold a STEM night as a Pack to explore different aspects of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. This year we will be creating Penny Batteries.

The science behind it has been used for many years to power all sorts of things, but this is a fun experiment that each of our scouts will enjoy making.

We will have all of the items necessary to construct the batteries as well as test stations. We will also have a hand-out for our scouts to fill out, as participating in this activity will count toward Nova and SuperNova award requirements.

For our Webelos scouts, we have a second project for them to construct, involving creating series and parallel circuits using lights.

As always, I could use parent help to run the project tables, or to help your scout create the battery.
