Popcorn
Pack 30 Fundraising has begun. The sale starts Sept. 16th, 2017 and continues through Oct 14th, 2017.

Fundraising packets were handed out at our October Pack meeting. If you need additional sheets or have questions, please contact Don Ellingsen, our fundraising chair.

We will be offering four methods of selling this year: show-and-sell (popcorn only), Pick ‘n Save Sale, take orders (popcorn, wreaths, kringle & coffee) and online orders. Descriptions of each type are below.  Product will be stored at Don Ellingsen’s house. No matter what type of selling you are doing, please record all sales on your sales sheets.

Show-and-sell:

Show-and-sell allows you to have the popcorn with you as you go door-to-door or sell to family and friends.  This means you deliver the product immediately, and there is no second trip to drop it off! People are more likely to buy if you have the product with you. If you need more of a certain type of product, e-mail Don Ellingsen and he coordinate a pickup time for you or order more if we’ve run out. Popcorn ordered by 8:00PM Sunday night will be available for pick-up the following Friday. Any unsold popcorn must be returned at the Oct. 11th pack meeting or you will be charged for it. Chocolate items are non-returnable so we have a limited amount of those.

Pick ‘n Save Sale:

We will also be holding Show-n-Sell sales dates at Pick ‘n Save (Sunset & Tenny – Sunset East) on Sept. 16th, 17th and 23rd from 11:00 – 2:00pm. Also, at Metro Market on Bluemound on Sept. 24th from 11:00 – 2:00. There is a Sign-up Genius for you to select a 1-hour time frame for your scout to help sell popcorn. The profits from those sales will go to the pack, but your scout will receive credit for a percentage of sales that day toward their $350 goal. Scouts that participate will be in a raffle for a prize. Please only sign up for one time slot as we have limited the number of scouts per shift to 3 and want to give everyone a chance to sign up.

Take Orders:

Take Orders means customers fill out an order form, pay up-front, and you will deliver in mid-November.  You have been provided with order forms for each type of product.  You will need to turn in your order form on or before Oct. 14th (or bring it to the Oct. 11th pack meeting).  Please pay your total when you turn in your order.

If you have a customer that wants to want to write a check, have them make it out to you, then write one check to Pack 30 for your total amount.  This makes much less work for our treasurer.

Product will be available for you to pick up on the afternoon of Nov. 11th.  Exact times will follow.

Be sure your scout practices safe selling practices.  He should be in uniform and have an adult with him if he sells door to door.  Be polite, even if they don’t buy anything (A scout is courteous). Please see the attached document on Scout Selling Tips. We have also included a sample script your scout could use to practice with.

Online Sales:

There is an option to sell online for anyone interested in selling to relatives out of state. If you would like to do this, contact Don and he can set up an account for you.

Gift Wreaths are available by request. Please contact Don Ellingsen (see bottom) if you are interested in this.

There is more information on incentives and what the money funds. If we can all work hard this one month, it will fund an entire year of activities. Please contact Don with any selling related questions.
