Highway Cleanup w/ Troop 4

Every year we have a volunteer opportunity with Boy Scout Troop 4 in cleaning up a portion of ST Paul Ave.  This is a good opportunity to get in an event for June. This year it will be Tuesday, May 29th, 2018 (it's the end of May, but we'll count it as a summertime activity). We will need some parent participation to assist in keeping the boys safe as the  den leaders already have a pack committee meeting to attend to tomorrow night. It is only about 1 hour long to complete our section.  Below is the information about the event.  Let Eric Johnson know if you as a parent can attend and help so that I will know how many parents we will have there. Thanks.

Please wear your uniform (neckerchiefs not necessary), so we are easily identifiable.

We're starting at 6 pm, so meet at ETC (1915 MacArthur Road, Suite 1 Waukesha, WI 53188) at the front doors a little before.

The Pack will go North on the sidewalk/trail side (protected with a guard rail) from MacArthur to Harris Highland Rd. Usually an hour is about all it takes for that section.

That section is all on the sidewalk / multi-use trail. By county specifications, we don't do the median (grassy area in the middle of the road) and for that section there is only one side of the road (we don't do the bridge side with no sidewalk / east side of road). It's maybe 1/2 mile walking section (doubled for the return).

Garbage bags and vests will be provided; bring work gloves if you want them. (Though if someone has a high-visibility vest they are welcome to use their own -- we have a limited number.)
